Tombol -

I read about this terrible tragedy in the RedEye on Monday morning and did not make an immediate connection with Tombol's name. It wasn't until seeing his photo in the Sun Times yesterday that I recognized Tombol as someone I worked with at Banana Republic for about 1 1/2 years. I'm very saddened and shocked by what happened to him. Things like this shouldn't happen to anyone in the world. I remember Tombol just as everyone has described him, very kind and considerate, soft-spoken, and generally just a very happy person. He and I used to joke often that a certain green military hat of his made him look like Fidel Castro, and he always seemed to think that was really funny. I am so sorry for the loss to your family, and my thoughts are with you.
